Do I have to join a Team?
We are encouraging everyone to select a team to join or create their own. We will still be able to identify the top 3 individuals, even if you are on a team.
How do I log my activities towards the challenge?
Answer: You can log activities using two methods:
Manually – Either on the web or via iPhone and Android Walker Tracker apps. Select your exercise type, add steps and you’re done.
Automatically – Via the range of apps and devices that we connect with. Currently Walker Tracker supports: Apple Watch (iOS), Apple Health (iOS), Garmin, Fitbit, Google Fit (Android), Fitbit Mobile Track (iOS, Android and Windows).
Can I log multiple exercise types?
Answer: Yes – You can log any distance-based exercise that you do
Running (indoor and outdoor)
Cycling (indoor and outdoor)
Rowing
Walking
Skiing
Swimming
Elliptical anything!
You can also convert other exercises such as sports that you play, yoga, aerobics, weightlifting etc. into distances. All activities can be converted into steps using the Walker Tracker step converter:
For example: swimming for 30 minutes can be converted into 4,620 steps using the Walker Tracker step converter. Hiking for 30 minutes = 4,650 steps.
Click on “Add an activity”, then choose an activity from the drop-down list. Add how many minutes you engaged in the activity. Click calculate to determine the number of steps.
